Artists Bio

“Katie has lived a life immersed in creativity, seeing the world through the lens of art from an early age. Trained in Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art, she refined her skills before embarking on a career as a wallpaper designer, bringing her artistic vision into the world of interiors. Her passion for fostering artistic communities led her to found this group and establish both the Otter Gallery and the Wimborne Plein Air Festival, celebrating the beauty of outdoor painting.

Katie's deep connection to nature is at the heart of her work. Inspired by country walks with her family, she captures the landscapes around her with a fresh, contemporary feel. Working primarily in oils, her paintings are characterised by loose, expressive brushwork, rich textures, and a dynamic energy that brings the natural world to life on canvas. Her work is a celebration of light, movement, and the ever-changing beauty of the outdoors.

Through her artistic journey, Katie continues to explore and evolve, sharing her passion for painting with others and creating pieces that invite the viewer to step into her world—one filled with vibrancy, emotion, and the raw beauty of nature.
