The Dorset Artists Guild is a community of professional artists based in and around Wimborne. Dedicated to both social and professional connections, our members collaborate, exhibit together, and support one another in their creative journeys. Through exhibitions, networking, the guild fosters a thriving artistic environment while promoting the arts locally. The guild has two levels of membership, fellow membership and associate membership, please read below for more details.

The Dorset Artists Guild provides a welcoming and inspiring space for artists to connect, grow, and share their passion for creativity. Beyond exhibitions, the plein air group, and social events, our guild is about fostering meaningful connections and professional development. We encourage the exchange of ideas and artistic support, creating a network where members can thrive. Our Facebook group serves as a hub for discussion, where artists can share works-in-progress, post news, and coordinate meet-ups.

Social & Creative Gatherings

• Quarterly Socials – Informal meet-ups over coffee or at a pub to discuss our artistic practice.
• Quarterly Sketching & Plein Air Outings – These sessions become more frequent in the summer months, taking advantage of Dorset’s stunning landscapes.
• Artist Challenges – Regular themed challenges where members share their work on our Facebook page.

Exhibitions & Opportunities

• Four Exhibitions Annually – Showcasing members’ work at various locations.
• Artist Markets – Opportunities to sell and promote artwork in different venues.
